Brian Blackmore, Director of Quaker Engagement for the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), will be at FMC to share information about opportunities for Friends to get involved in AFSC’s work to promote peace and justice in the US and around the world. Brian’s presentation will give a brief history of the AFSC, explain its organizational structure, and spotlight some of its programs and campaigns. Come learn about AFSC’s humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza, its efforts to protect immigrant communities in the U.S., its initiatives to create community-safety beyond policing and prisons, a social change leadership program for Quaker young adults and more!
