A ONE-DAY RETREAT FOR FRIENDS MEETING AT CAMBRIDGE
Saturday April 6 from 9:00am – 4:30pm
Lunch & Childcare provided
This one-day retreat will provide a wonderful opportunity for Friends to explore together a number of issues relating to our shared life in FMC. It is open to all FMC members and attenders without cost. Topics will include:
- Quakerism as an adventure in direct, unmediated, ongoing guidance by Spirit. Exploring our faith with each other.
- Deepening worship – ways we can cultivate gathered meeting and spirit-led ministry.
- Corporate discernment – deepening our capacity to be led by Spirit together during meeting for business in an open-hearted search for unity.
- Meeting as “beloved community” – ways to increase our capacity to share with each other in mutual trust, vulnerability, accountability, & love.
Peter has been leading retreats and adult religious education courses for Friends Meetings for many years. He has received grants from the Legacy Gifts Fund and Obadiah Brown Benevolent Fellowship to develop new adult religious education curricula for Friends.
