Please join us in celebrating Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead)! Our friend from Peru, Karina Liendo, will share with us the book, I Remember Abuelito: A Day of the Dead Story, by Janice Levy. During this Mexican holiday, families welcome the souls of their departed relatives for a joyful reunion filled with food, drink, and celebration. he story follows a young girl who prepares to honor her beloved grandfather, eagerly awaiting his spirit’s visit. This special participatory all-ages event is taking place at the usual time (and on the usual Zoom) as Family Worship, but it won’t be Family Worship. It is offered by the Family Worship Planning Group, with sponsorship from the Friends for Racial Justice (FORJ) and First Day School/Youth Programs Committees. To participate using Zoom, click this link or provide the meeting ID 836 6770 9699 and passcode 794870 (if requested) on Zoom.com, the Zoom app, or after calling 1-646-558-8656.
