Dear Friendly Folks,
On Saturday April 25 from 2-4pm, Friends Meeting at Cambridge will continue with the second session of our End-of-Life Planning workshop. Resources from the first session are available below. You are invited to join us via Zoom even if you did not attend session 1.

In the first session, we imagined what a “good death” might look like for each of us, and we were invited to take steps to help prepare for that. We explored our hopes and fears, and as a homework assignment attendees were encouraged to fill out and have witnessed a Health-Care Proxy. We also encourage filling out a HIPAA release form (available below).

In Part 2, we encourage attendees to have at hand their completed health-care proxy forms. We will discuss directives for before and after death as well as preparing for difficult conversations, since not everyone is comfortable talking about end-of-life matters. The workshops will be presented by Patti Muldoon and Bill Thompson, co-clerks of FMC’s sponsoring Marriage, Family and Relationships Committee. They are also board members of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Eastern Massachusetts.
