A workshop on racial micro aggressions. Learn some simple things that create walls or welcome.
Do you ever wonder if things you do or say might hurt or offend someone of a different race? People of Color who visit our Meeting or other Friends gatherings often say they don’t feel truly welcome or included. This workshop is designed to help European American members of the FMC community understand micro aggressions—small, unintended acts that do big damage. Leave with some tools and approaches to help you lower the barriers to inclusion at FMC and in your life as a whole.
The work on micro aggressions is one piece of our work of living into the Minute (2016-64) on white supremacy approved by New England Yearly Meeting at its 2016 sessions.
Please join with Friends for Racial Justice as we continue this commitment to interrupt white supremacy at Friends Meeting at Cambridge.
