We will gather at Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham, MA for three days of reflection and fellowship from Thursday evening 10/23 at 6:00pm until after lunch on Sunday 10/26. We begin Thursday evening with an opening circle, where each of us shares what we are bringing to the retreat, spiritually, emotionally, materially, whatever. Then we worship and are silent until the end of worship on Sunday morning, when we have closing circle, where we speak of our experience. In between we worship, we eat together in silence, we smile at each other and laugh, passing each other in the hall, or in the kitchen. We sit and read in the library, go for walks, sit in our own rooms to meditate or journal or read or knit, whatever. There is warm fellowship though we are not speaking.
Registration opens on Saturday, October 4 at 7am and closes when the retreat fills or on Sunday, October 12. If necessary, a wait list will be created.
The actual cost per person is $345, but there is flexibility based on need and generosity. It includes three nights and nine meals. Participation is limited to fifteen on a first-come, first-served basis, though we reserve spaces for new folks. Those who come all three days get priority.
