In well-functioning meetings someone is always actively doing the work of eldering irrespective of whether it’s named or not.

  • What is in process now in regards to the word and the role of eldering?
  • Spiritual formation is a foundation of eldering. How is that expressing itself today?

Join Elaine for a two-hour exploration of how the role of eldering within the Unprogammed Religious Society of Friends has been bubbling up over the last two decades. Elaine is travelling under the concern that we use the term eldering with intention and a focus on spiritual nurturing. Come be part of the exploration of the many aspects and changes in the conversation among Friends.

For over twenty years Elaine has been bringing people together to explore what is alive about eldering within the Religious Society of Friends. She has led workshops on eldering at Woodbrook, Friends General Conference, and throughout the United States, Canada and across Australia. She is travelling in the ministry under the care of Strawberry Creek Meeting in Berkeley CA.
