Ornament Making

On the evening of December 1st, the Maddocks and Shalit-Sweitzer families hosted an Ornament Making Party at the Shalit-Sweitzer house in Brookline. Children and adults alike had fun making ornaments, eating delicious snacks, and socializing. Thank you to Ariel, Chris, Elliott, and Claire Maddocks and Andrew Shalit, Naomi Sweitzer, Jay Shalit-Sweitzer, and Minna Shalit-Sweitzer.

Singing by the Fireplace

On the evening of December 8th, 18 adults and 4 children gathered in the meetinghouse to sing Christmas carols, winter songs, and other favorites from Rise Up Singing and Rise Again in front of the fireplace. Dov Arond led us in celebrating the seventh night of Hanukkah. Afterwards we shared fellowship over food and drinks. Thank you to Beth Fuller for her help in setting up the food and Jonathan Vogel-Borne for organizing a band and leading the singing.

Gift-Making

On the afternoon of December 9th, Beth Fuller, Sadie Perrin, and Sylvi Re led cookie baking and gift making for children and youth during Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business. 7 youth stayed and participated. Similar activities for future Meeting for Worships with Attention to Business are planned so that parents and caregivers may stay and our children and youth can be engaged in fun activities.

Christmas Pageant

The Christmas Pageant on December 16th after Meeting for Worship went well! We had a new script written by Ruthanna Kern, one of our First Day School students. Ruthanna directed the Pageant, with assistance from Gail Rogers. Thank you to Ray Aucoin for his help with the planning; Beth Fuller, Ariel Maddocks, and Patricia Wild for their help with setting up; and David Anick, Dov Arond, Jonathan Gilbert, Mary Gilbert, and Tom O’Connor for sharing their musical talents. And a huge thanks to all the performers!
