Friends Meeting at Cambridge’s (FMC) Climate Action group invites you to hear and discuss a proposed minute. We’ll kick off the session with a brief summary of progress to date. Here’s the text of our draft minute:

In keeping with our testimonies of integrity, sustainability and peace that call us to move toward right relationship with the natural world, Friends Meeting at Cambridge commits to a goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions from our facilities by 2040. Given the urgency of the climate crisis, we will seek to transform the property under care to be completely fossil fuel free.

Note: This is aligned with the Massachusetts Clean Energy and Climate Plan and City of Cambridge Net Zero Action Plan. Also, we are inspired by Brookline’s approval of a 2040 target date.
