Join us for a hybrid discernment workshop as we work towards a Gaza-related minute. We will be joined by Alex McDonald, member of Live Oak Friends Meeting in Houston, TX and author of How I Learned to Speak Israel — An American’s Guide to a Foreign Policy Language and When They Speak Israel — A Guide to Clarity in Conversations about Israel. Alex will lead us through a discernment process which will include a brief summary of the situation in Gaza followed by a discussion about the importance of language as we process our personal understandings of the situation and how we write a minute. He will then open up the workshop for questions. This session should be broadening with new perspectives gained by all.
