Katherine Power is the author of Surrender: My Journey from Guerilla to Grandmother. She will share her experience as a practical peacemaker and her history as a student activist, anti-war guerilla in the Vietnam era, fugitive, and prisoner. Her memoir is a story of repentance and discovery as well as a critical analysis of prisons, white supremacy, patriarchy and militarism. Katherine will also reflect on how we can bear the emotions of guilt and powerlessness that we experience during a time of brutal war, find a way to avoid violence and despair, and maximize our impact as peace activists.
