Newcomers and Seekers (Zoom)
Join us for an evening virtual gathering with long-time Friends from our community as well as others newer to the meeting who are exploring Quakerism and finding out more about our community. Stay until 8:00 pm if you want to dive deeper into topics discussed or ask additional questions.
This is what to expect:
- Introductions with interactive “icebreaker” (which we hope will be fun).
- A discussion about some aspect of Quakerism. We’ll be prompted to share some experience (past, present or hope for the future). You won’t be required to answer, yet we hope you will feel comfortable sharing, whether you have never been to any Quaker meeting before or are a long time Friend who is new to our community.
- Any of us, you included, could come with a specific question or we could discuss something more general such as finding a new religion, deepening your spiritual practice and/or seeking community
No RSVP needed, though it is always nice to know who is coming, just send an email to newcomers@fmcquaker.org.
If you are new to our meeting, please consider filling out a newcomer form, if you haven’t already. Click this link to fill out a newcomer form online. Filling out the form is not at all required, but it will help us to know you better so that we can try to connect you with peo ple or resources.
