Summer Fest with Potluck (Grounds)
Summer Fest is a chance for our community to come together and have some fun in the sun!
A community potluck lunch will be held on the lawn next to the Meetinghouse starting at 12:15 pm. Burgers (veggie and beef) and ice cream with toppings will be provided. Bring a dish to share if you can!
A Plant Swap and Tie Dye activity will be happening concurrently on the grounds. Bring an old cotton t shirt, tote bag, scarf, or whatever else you would like to dye! We will have a limited number of shirts available for kids and adults on a first come, first served basis. We will also have Play Street yard game equipment and other activities for intergenerational fun.
In case of inclement weather, the Potluck will be moved indoors to the Friends Room and other activities will be postponed to a future date.
Longfellow Park in front of the Meetinghouse will be closed to vehicles this Sunday, June 16, from 12:00 to 4:00pm for FMC’s Summer Fest. Please plan to move your car before noon if it is parked on the FMC side of Longfellow Park to prepare for the street closure and to make room for the Play Street that is part of FMC’s Summer Fest.
Potluck setup/cleanup volunteers and volunteers to help with Summer Fest activities are still needed. If you would like to volunteer, please reach out directly to Zoe Zurad, Youth Ministries and Education Coordinator, at youthministries@fmcquaker.org.
