WORSHIP CENTERED DISCUSSION (Parlor / Zoom)

Forums occur every Sunday September through June at 9:15am except on 5th Sundays when we sing, making a joyful noise together and on 4th Sundays in April, and May 2026 we will be exploring a different worship schedule, holding two meetings for worship, 9am (hybrid) and 11am (low tech). There will be no Forum on 4/28 and 5/24.

Forums are informal devotional discussions, usually with a leader and about a particular topic. Forums are designed to help those who attend prepare for meeting for worship. All are welcome. Forums provide opportunities for new members, attenders, and visitors to learn more about our Meeting, what issues are of concern to the Meeting, and to get to know other individuals in the Meeting.

We will try to provide childcare only if it is requested in advance by emailing childcarerequest@fmcquaker.org.

April 2026 Forum Schedule:

  • April 5 “Reflections on Reclaiming Joy ” FMC All Meeting Retreat Participants
  • April 12 “Hospitality to our Immigrant Neighbors” with Jane Jackson and Regina Corrao from Blue Boat Home
  • April 19 “Building Our State of Society Report”
  • April 26 No Forum. There will be hybrid Meeting for Worship in the Meetinghouse and on Open Zoom at 9am, followed by on-site refreshments, followed by low-tech Meeting for Worship in the Meetinghouse at 11am.

May 2026 Forum Schedule:

  • May 3 “Listening for Spirit in Your Garden, and Practical Practices.” with Nancy Hewitt
  • May 10 Theme/Presenter — “To Be Announced”
  • May 17 “Be the Light: Cambridge Friends School” with Katie Marion and Beno Chapman
  • May 24 No Forum. There will be hybrid Meeting for Worship in the Meetinghouse and on Zoom at 9:00am, followed by on-site refreshments, followed by low-tech Meeting for Worship in the Meetinghouse at 11:00am
  • May 31 No Forum. Join us for 5th Sunday round singing in the Friends Room and on Zoom from 9:30am-10:15am. Click here for more info about this singing event.
