Women’s Silent Retreat October 16–19, 2026 (Off Site) Registration is open from open from September 26 through October 2.

We will gather at Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham for three days of reflection and Fellowship.  We begin Friday evening with an opening circle, where each of us shares what we are bringing to the retreat, spiritually, emotionally, materially, whatever. Then we worship and are silent until the end of worship on Monday morning, when we have closing circle, where we speak of our experience. In between we worship, we eat together in silence, we smile at each other and laugh, passing each other in the hall, or in the kitchen. We sit and read in the library, go for walks, sit in our own rooms to meditate or journal or read or knit, whatever. There is warm fellowship though we are not speaking. I hope you can come.

Unfortunately, the first part of the clerking workshop had to be scheduled on Saturday the 17th, which may affect some of you. You would be welcome to come and leave for that period on Saturday.

The actual cost per person is $340, but there is flexibility based on need and generosity. It includes three nights and nine meals. Participation is limited to fifteen. This year, rather than be first-come, first-served, we will try to find a balance of young and old, veterans and newcomers, and encourage people who can come less often. Those who come all three days get priority.

Registration will be open from September 26 through October 2. There can be a waiting list. You may sign up by email (see below) but must return your registration and check promptly to save your space.

Attached is the registration form and the program for the weekend.
